Residents Applaud Council Boss as RIKAY Embarks on Grading and Sand filling of Inner Roads in Badagry West

In a move that has brought relief to residents, the Executive Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren (RIKAY), has commenced the grading and sand filling of several inner roads across communities in the area.

The ongoing project, which has reached Asheri, Farasimme, and adjoining communities, is part of the council’s strategic effort to ease movement and improve accessibility, especially in flood-prone areas affected by the recent rainy season.

Residents have lauded the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. Many expressed appreciation to the council boss for prioritizing road rehabilitation and ensuring that neglected routes receive urgent attention.

Speaking on the development, Hon. RIKAY reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructure renewal, stressing that “no community in Badagry West will be left behind in our development agenda.”

The road grading and sand filling exercise is expected to continue in other parts of the LCDA in the coming days.
