LAGOS DEPUTY CHIEF WHIP, SETONJI DAVID, TO EMPOWER OVER 1,000 RESIDENTS IN BADAGRY
In continuation of his commitment to grassroots development and support for vulnerable households, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Setonji S. David, representing Badagry Constituency II, is set to empower over 1,000 residents of Badagry through a massive empowerment programme.
The life-impacting event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 11th October 2025, at the Nigerian French Language Village, Ajara, Badagry, beginning at 11:00am.
The empowerment programme will feature the distribution of key business support tools including grinding machines, hair dryers, generator sets, barbing equipment and more. In addition, cash empowerment will be provided to less privileged individuals, petty traders, entrepreneurs, youths, aged citizens, and other vulnerable groups across the constituency and beyond.
Speaking on the forthcoming initiative, Hon. Setonji David reaffirmed that the gesture is strictly humanitarian.
“This is not political; it is about uplifting people at critical points of need. Over 1,000 persons will benefit, ranging from the young to the elderly, the petty traders to small entrepreneurs. We are committed to making life easier and creating opportunities for our people,” he stated.
The programme will be chaired by the APC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, who, alongside other dignitaries and stakeholders, will grace the occasion.
With this empowerment drive, Hon. Setonji David continues to demonstrate his commitment as a grassroots legislator devoted to improving the socio-economic wellbeing of his constituents while promoting inclusive development across Badagry.
